The answer is True.
She was unearthed on November 24, 1974, by paleoanthropologist Donald Johanson and graduate student Tom Gray at the Hadar site, in the Afar Triangle region of Ethiopia. Lucy is a 3.2-million-year-old Australopithecus afarensis, about 40% complete (remarkable for a fossil that old) and she is known in Ethiopia as Dinkinesh, meaning "you are marvelous". Fun fact: she was named after the Beatles song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds", which was playing at camp during the celebration of the find.
