History · True or False?
The answer is False.
Only the Great Pyramid of Giza remains largely intact. The other six were the Hanging Gardens of Babylon (Iraq), the Statue of Zeus at Olympia (Greece), the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus (Turkey), the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus (Turkey), the Colossus of Rhodes (Greece), and the Lighthouse of Alexandria (Egypt), all lost to earthquakes, fires, and war. Fun fact: the Hanging Gardens are the only one whose very existence is debated since no archaeological trace of them has ever been found.
