The Titanic sank before World War I

The answer is True.

Explanation

It sank in the North Atlantic in the early morning of April 15, 1912, a few hours after striking an iceberg on the night of April 14, during its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. Of the roughly 2,224 people aboard, more than 1,500 died, partly because the ship carried lifeboats for only about half of them. The wreck was finally located in 1985 by an expedition led by Robert Ballard.
