In Norse mythology, the dwarves used sunlight to forge weapons

Explanation

The dwarves turned to stone in the presence of sunlight, so they worked in deep caverns. Their creations came from enchanted metalwork, or even impossible intangible materials like Gleipnir, the chain binding the wolf Fenrir, made partly from the sound of a cat's footsteps.
