The legendary swordsman known for the foundation of the Niten Ichi-ryū, a two-sword technique, was Miyamoto Musashi. He was considered as one of the greatest, a kensei (sword saint), with his undefeated record of 61 - 62 duels won (exact number not known). He also killed Sasaki Kojiro in a duel on Ganryū Island in 1612.
