The answer is True.
Alan Shepard, commander of Apollo 14, hit two golf balls on the Moon on February 6, 1971. He used a makeshift club created by attaching a Wilson Staff Dyna-Powered 6-iron head to the handle of a lunar sample collection tool. Restricted by his bulky pressure suit, he swung one-handed, and both balls are still on the Moon today.
