She is the goddess of destruction, war and healing. Her bloodlust unquenchable, she went on a rampage and almost wiped out all of humanity. She was stopped by the other gods, ordered by Ra to pour out a lake of beer dyed with red ochre so that it resembled blood. She mistook it for blood and drank it all and became so drunk that she gave up on the slaughter and returned peacefully to Ra. Fun fact: ancient Egypt even held a festival of drunkenness commemorating Sekhmet's pacification.
